In this tutorial i am going to show you how to get the passwords hidden behind asterisks, so lets assume that you forget your password of your YouTube account and its saved in the browser and you want to open your YouTube account in the other web browser then you can easily get the passwords which is hidden behind the asterisks.

If you are using the Mozilla Firefox then you can get the passwords hidden behind the asterisks in two ways the fist one is to go to the option and one window will open then simply select the security and you can find one option named “Saved Passwords…” just click there and then you can find the lists of ID and passwords which are saved in the Mozilla Firefox and then simply click on the show passwords and it will show all the passwords saved in the Web Browser.

So the 2nd way will work for both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome :) so just open any login page where the password is saved and you want to get the password.

Now just select the password and right click and then go to inspect element with firebug.

Now it will open the source code and now just change the type from password to text and then simply hit Enter.

1. Launch Nero from its installed location.

2. Select the compilation format you would like to create.

3. Use the provided navigation box to add the files you wish to include in the ISO.

4. Select the "Nero Image Recorder" from the burner selection drop-down box located in

the upper right corner of the main program window.

5. Click the "Burn" button.

6. Click the "Burn" button again to produce a "Save Image File" dialog box.

7. Navigate to a location to store the created ISO file and click the "Save" button.

8. Click the "OK" button to begin the ISO creation and saving process. The message

window will close when the image has been successfully created.

However, burning a bootable ISO image file using Nero is a straightforward task. Make sure you have the ISO file saved to your hard drive (or on a storage drive) prior to burning the disk.

Instructions

1. Open the Nero application

2. Insert a blank DVD or CD into the CD/DVD burning device. If the ISO file is 800 megabytes or less, the ISO file is most likely a CD image. If the file is larger than 800 megabytes, the image is probably a DVD image.

3. Click the "Recorder" option on the top navigation bar.

4. Click the "Burn Image" option. The "Disk Image" burning interface opens.

5. Click the "Browse" button and then click the "File Type" dropdown box and seletc "All

Files."

6. Navigate to the ISO file on the hard drive, click on the file and then click "Open." The

ISO file loads in the Nero Disk Image interface.

7. Click the "Burn" button.

8. Select the CD/DVD burner and then click "Burn." The CD or DVD image is burned to
the disk. A notification appears when the disk image is complete.

Method 1 of 3: Windows XP

In Windows XP a simple trick is using the hosts file, and it goes this way:

1. Open My Computer

2. Browse C: (or your Operating system drive)

3. Browse Windows –>System32–>drivers–>etc So the Location will be                                                   C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc In the etc folder look for the file hosts

4. Open this file hosts with notepad.

5. At the bottom of the file, add the line as shown below:

6. 127.0.0.1 www.websiteToBlock.com

7. Save the file.

Method 2 of 3: Windows Vista and Windows 7Web filtering method

1. Open Parental Controls by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under User Accounts, clicking Set up Parental Controls. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

2. Click the account that you want to set up the web filter for.

3. Under Parental Controls, click On.

4. Click Windows Vista Web Filter.

5. Click Block some websites or content.

6. Click Edit the Allow and block list.

7. In the Website address box, type the address for the website you want to allow or block, and then click Allow or Block.

Method 3 of 3: Mac OS X

1. Open the system preferences pane. There is a shortcut on the dock that is shaped like a gear and says "System Preferences".

2. Locate "Parental Controls" and select it by clicking the icon with the mouse. If you have multiple user accounts enabled, you will be able to choose the account that you wish to apply restrictions to. Enter a password if necessary.

3. Click "Enable Parental Controls", this will bring you to the main menu for setting the parental control parameters for the Safari web browser and other programs on the Mac.

4. Locate the "Content" tab and click on it. Next, under Safari select the type of restrictions that you would like to enable. Choose "Try To Limit Access To Adult Websites Automatically" if you want Safari to block access to pornographic or other adult sites automatically. If you want to create a list of acceptable sites, select the option to "Allow Access To Only These Websites". Enter the names of the websites that you want to allow Safari to access in the table provided. When you are finished, exit Parental Controls/System Preferences and your changes will automatically be saved. Safari web browser will only allow access to the websites that you have specified.

I’m not completely against facebook except their annoying emails and useless applications, but I hate people who dying front of computer with facebook. At most of the work places its blocked easily by proxy servers. There are some methods to access it even when it blocked by proxy servers. Anyhow it is pointless to talk about it. In this post I show few steps on how to block Facebook on Windows 7 Home computer.

As you don’t have proxy servers at home, we have to do it in other ways. 5 methods available here, take which one suites for your and others (blocking for them).

Methods to Block Facebook on Windows 7 Home            Computer.

               1) Block it on Internet Explorer. – Method 1

You can easily block websites on Internet explorer 8 on Windows 7. To do it, Go to Tools – > Internet Options and select content tab.

                               

Click on Settings. Go to Approved Sites tab and type facebook.com and press Never button.

IE8 will prompt for Content advisor password, give a good password which can not be guessed by others. Still it is not done.

Go to General tab and make sure to select ‘ Users can see websites that have no rating’ option under User options. if you don’t select this, most of the sites will stop working no matter approved or denied sites. 

Contend advisor should be enabled, once its enabled you can view screen as below.

Now its done. when ever some body try to access facebook on internet explorer 8, it will pop up for content advisor password to allow particular site.

Problems with method

1) This works only with Internet Explorer. If your computer is having other browsers such as Firefox, Chrome or Safari then this is useless.

2) Your other party will know its blocked by some body ( it’s you!) and they will irritate you for the password or remove the block( you can disable password popup under settings) because its your home, not office.

3) There is a method to remove content advisor password without knowing it. Don’t worry I’m not going to tell how it is.

2) Block it in Host file. – Method 2

This is very simple method and no body will know this. Before any internet browser access web sites, it checks the DNS entry in Host file which is in your computer. if no entry found for specific website, then it goes to ISP ( Internet Service provider) to get the IP address.

So, what we will do now is, enter facebook entry on Windows 7 host file with wrong IP address.

Any browser find this entry and try to load from the IP address which is completely wrong. Finally facebook will not load ( that is what we wanted). To do it, Make sure you have administrative privilege to edit this host file.

Go to following location and open hosts file in notepad or any text editor.

127.0.0.1 login.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 blog.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 apps.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 en-gb.facebook.com

Type IP address and Press Tab key then type above addresses. 127.0.0.1 is the local host IP.

Restart the machine and try facebook, it will not work. This method will stop any browsers to access

facebook.com.

Problems with this method

If other party have administrative access and know about host file entry, then this method is not valid as they can simply remove these entries.

3) Block it on your Internet Router. – Method 3

This is more technical and limited because it depends on your ADSL router. It can vary for each routers, therefore I cant tell where to find it. Mostly under security (WAN) you can find some options to block websites with IP addresses or specific words. These are the IP address of facebook.com

4) Block Facebook with Parental Control in Windows 7. –          Method 4

This method mostly suitable for kids. If you are looking to block only facebook website then I suggest to use Internet explorer content advisor as mentioned in method 1. Filtering and blocking websites by windows 7 parental control is more complicated and advanced. This feature is not a built in component, you have to download Windows Live Family Safety from Microsoft site here.

While installing make sure to select Family Safety check box. 

Once Installation done, go to Parental control in control panel. Select the windows user you want to block facebook and click on the option mentioned below, you have to enter windows live id and password.

Further settings can be modified on live website. Here is the way to block websites in Windows live family safety on Windows 7.

5) Third Party Parental Controls. – Method 5

There are several paid and free parental controls available to block internet sites. You can use them also.
